Hi, I'm Esther.
I design for equitable futures.
Throughout my years in designing experiences and systems, I always take a collaborative and participatory approach, while building the capacity of teams, communities and organisations towards sustainable impact.
With a background in social impact design, systems engineering and analytics, my design approach is grounded in humility and trust-building, and fueled by a strategic understanding of the systems that surround us.
I currently lead design at Endowus. Previously in Shopify, I worked on helping merchants worldwide grow their business across channels like Facebook, Instagram and Google. Before that, I worked in GovTech Singapore designing for public good. I've also designed both enterprise and consumer products at IBM Interactive Experience, and freelanced for various startups and non-profits.
My career has spanned multiple disciplines and industries, but wherever I go, I strive towards building a more caring and inclusive world through the lens of design.
I hold a Master's degree in Design for Social Innovation, and actively volunteer with organisations supporting community-led initiatives towards social good.
Some of these include co-creation sessions with persons with disabilities, adventure trails with residents to improve their neighbourhood space, as well as facilitating ideation sessions on reimagining end-of-life care.

I'm an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Technological University, and have conducted design workshops and talks around the world.
Off hours, you'll find me dabbling in craftwork through sewing and ceramics, and making food for friends and family.
